Happy New Year!!!

Looking back at the last year, we as a band have had so many wonderful experiences, met so many fantastic people and have achieved so much that could not have been possible without each and every one of you.

From releasing our début demo (which thanks to you guys sold out!) getting our beloved steelmobile, and welcoming Adam into the Dakesis family, to playing with and supporting so many great bands, including of course our heroes Thunderstone – this past year has been an incredible experience for us.

As you no doubt know, we spent almost every day of the summer recording what should have been our first full length album, however due to circumstances outside of our control there has been a problem with the files at a fundamental level, and sadly we are going to have to re-do the album from scratch. Although we are of course dissapointed, we know that the album is going to be well worth the wait, and with the experiences we have gained, attempt two is going to be stronger than ever.

The good news however, is that drum tracking will begin sometime in mid January, and we are wasting no time in getting things back on track.

More news and updates about the album will be hitting very soon!

We're really looking forward to coming back with our first gig of the year at The Roadhouse on Wednesday 19^th January, which is also going to be an early Birthday celebration for Adam, and as such is going to be FREE ENTRY, support and more details will be appearing very shortly.

We have some crazy new songs that we cant wait to share with you guys, and we will be debuting a currently untitled power metal spectacular at the first gig of the year. We've been working on a lot of new material over the past few months, so you can expect new highs of indecent cheese throughout the early shows of 2011

We're also gearing up for the first ever @Twitrfest at Eddies on Saturday 12^th February, alongside Furyon, Oaf and our good friends Triaxis! With all proceeds going to the Solihull and Birmingham Woman's Aid and tickets only £7 for such an amazing line-up, you'll want to make sure you get yours early! Tickets are available from HERE

Welcome to our new Blog!

Hello there!

We've decided to start a blog to let you in on all the mischief we get up to when you're not looking. All band members are hopefully going to post here, so you can get a bit of an insight into what it's like to be a Dakesian, whilst staying up to date with all the latest news.

We're all new at this Blogging malarkey, so bear with us whilst we get to grips with everything! 

Maybe I'll have something interesting to say soon, and I'll make a real post instead of writing things here just to make it look like a bigger post.....!
